Bogota Airport

El Dorado International Airport

IATA: BOG - OACI: SKBO

Bogotá has two air terminals: El Dorado International Airport -the main Bogota airport-, for domestic and international commercial traffic (supported by two passenger and two cargo terminals), and the Guaymaral Private Airport, handling only small airplanes.

Due to the economic growth of the country and its international exposure, tourist affluence to Colombia has been growing in the last 10 years.

In El Dorado International Airport is where 65% of the country’s flight operations are concentrated. Boarding, connections, arrivals, departures, and all the proceedings related to entering and leaving the country are carried out in this place.

The Bogota airport has been under an expansion and construction of new facilities since 2010 and we are now in the 2014 and the works haven´t finished yet, so please have this in mind.

Happily, the international terminal is the one that was started first and you will probably rarely experience any discomfort.

Flight arrivals are held on the first floor and departures on the second one. The new international terminal has counters for international flights check-in, tickets, reservations, and immigration and custom services.

The international terminal also offers various services such as:

  • Information desks
  • Departures and arrivals displays
  • Travel agencies
  • Drug stores
  • Communication center
  • Bookstores and gift and souvenir shops
  • Duty-free
  • Restaurants and coffee shops
  • ATM’s

The airport phone number is + 57 1 425 10 00

There is also a communication center where you can make national and international calls, surf the Internet and send faxes. Also there are Duty-Free Shops in which you can purchase a wide range of products free of taxes. If you need to exchange money, you can do it right beside the baggage claim area, before going out to the street.

Soon we will have a map to help you find what you need

Visitors can find hotel reservations and touristic information points in the domestic and international arrivals areas; they can also find taxi companies to which the passenger can request a ticket with a fixed price for the ride.
