DiVino Swiss House is an authentic Swiss restaurant in Bogota. It is located in a chalet style old house in the exclusive neighborhood of Quinta Camacho, northeast of the city. It is a casual and familiar restaurant which offers an affordable menu.
Here you can enjoy the traditional dishes of the Swiss cuisine. To get started you can order the Swiss tray (Bandeja Suiza), a delightful selection of artisan cold meats, various cheeses and pickles for two people. Another striking starter is the Viande des Grisons, an authentic Swiss specialty which consists of beef tenderloin cured and air-dried served with pickles.
Main courses offer is huge and includes fish, pasta, vegetarian dishes, meat and poultry. For dessert, guess what? Yeah, you’re right: chocolate fondue with assorted fruits and marshmallows. However, if you want a less mainstream dessert, the apple strudel or the Cassatta DiVino (vanilla, blackberry and chocolate ice creams covered with flambéed strawberries) are good choices too.
Saturday is the perfect day for take delight with the Swiss style brunch or Z’Morge. DiVino’s brunch is considered one of the best in Bogota.
For brunch you can choose from a wide selection of Swiss traditional cold supper. Amongst the cold meats stand out the Mostbröckli (smoked beef) and the artisanal mortadella. Fruits, Zopf (traditional Swiss bread made from white flour, milk, eggs, butter and yeast), ripened cheeses, oven baked fruit compotes and natural yogurt are other cold options. However, there’s a cold option you cannot miss: the Birchermüesli, a famous Swiss mixture of cereals, cream, yogurt, honey and apples.
The hot brunch dishes offer is also varied. You have to try the plain Rösti or with onion (Zwiebelrösti) -the famous Swiss specialty-, the smoked bacon (Speck gebratener) or the cooked leg ham (Buurehamme).
