This gastronomic epicenter has been developing in the Parque de la 93 (93 Park) and its surroundings (Chicó neighborhood). This park, located north of Bogotá, may seem small but it is very active during day and night. However, this zone also includes restaurants in the exclusive neighborhood El Chicó.

Thanks to its strategic location, its green landscape and the surrounding urban environment, the park is a meeting place for the arts, culture, shopping and trends. Around the park there are bookshops and stationers, a design center, travel agencies, bars, cafes, hotels, a boutique cinema, and restaurants of a wide variety of cuisines.

The Parque de la 93 is defined as the area delineated on the east by the Carrera 11, on the west by the Carrera 15, on the south by the Calle 93 (93th street) and on the north by the Calle 96 (96th street).

During daytime this park is a place to have a break and relax walking around its water fountain and by its nice green lawn, which is well planted with native trees such as the “Cauchos sabaneros” and the “wax palms” from the Quindío department. Also it has a quiet area with a children playground. On the Sunday mornings, the park is a place well visited by families with small children and pets.

During the whole day you will see people coming and going, relaxing or passing by. You can go for breakfast, lunch or dinner at one of its restaurants, or you can enjoy a cup of coffee in one of its many cafes. At night you will be delighted by the joyful ambiance in restaurants and bars, which also offers nice music and a good chance for dancing in the Colombian style.

There are some nice and good hotels in the area, making it a very interesting place for tourists.
